I'm changing the inverter and radiator coolant soon. Has anyone used this Airlift tool to do it and get all the air out: UView: Product Detail I works great on all my other cars.
I used it on my Gen II without any problems. The main drawback is having to use the conical rubber attachment rather than having it screw tightly to the coolant reservoir. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to use it, given the tediousness of the factory air bleeding procedure.
I recently used the Airlift tool to change my inverter coolant on my 2005. I did a write-up w/ pictures here: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...5804-changing-inverter-coolant-airlift-2.html The Airlift tool worked great for me. I know it is not necessary to use, but now that I have the tool I will never do it the old way again! I realize this is way too late to help op (atikovi), but might encourage others who stumble onto this thread...
