Where do people generally put an aftermarket bluetooth mic? I specifically have the DICE Mediabridge 1500, but feedback from any of these product types would be great. The easiest place is probably somewhere behind the vent, but that does not seem optimal.
Mines glued to the upper left corner of the windshield. Works great there. I'd think there'd be noise from wind rush anywhere by the vents.
This seems better, but would likely involve external wires. I guess I could run it from the radio, across the dashboard, then up to the windshield.
There are no visible, external wires on mine. from the radio under the dash and inside the trim on the A pillar.
Mine was mounted right above the rear view mirror, I did not do it myself though. It seems like people have trouble hearing me with it in that spot, so maybe closer to the driver window is better acoustically?
You can run the wire up the driver's side A-pillar then across the top of the windshield by tucking the wire into the headliner. Then clip the mic to the headliner near where your sun visor clips in or anywhere else you think is in direct line with your head. i.e. if you like the gansta lean then you may want to shift the mounting location to the far left or far right of the headliner. If you are really ghetto then I would clip the mic to the rubber seal on the top of the door panel and as close to your seat as you can get it.
