Its OK on the inside. You may have seen my vociferous comments about the change in the interior design. Outside though, its fantastic. I got the Sandy Beach Metallic, which is a stunning color at sunset. And with all the drivetrain improvements, I am sure it wil do well. Still up in the air is how it will do on the pulse and glide routes. But it will be some time before tires wear in (I need to get better tires first thing, and they wear in), and I find out. Probably around this time next year...
i like the sandy beach. is the center console/cockpit what bothers you about the interior? i havn't even sat in one yet.
Yes. The 2nd Gen Prius was such a breath of fresh air in that regard - not to have my right knee all knocked around during driving. Also the shifter only required bending the elbow to get to, versus rotating shoulder and bending elbow in the new design. The 2007 demo ride I took with the salesmen, I just started subconciouslly doing N glides, and got a comment from the salesman that it was interesting what I was doing with the shifter. Its just so quick to get your hand off the wheel, shift, and back on.
I was agreeing with him on his decision. His was definitely an upgrade. Not all Gen2 to Gen3 are upgrade due to the loaded option differences.
