Is there a listing somewhere of the differences (performance, aesthetic and, most importantly, "toys") in the 2010 vs 2011?

My 2009 was totaled recently and I'm about to replace it. I'm trying to decide if it would be worthwhile to keep renting for a few additional weeks to wait for the 2011s.

From what I have read, there are very few (if any) differences between '10 and '11 - besides color options.

When you buy demand that the service department remove the backup and seatbelt beeps. Trust me.

Agree 100% on the backup beeps. Get them to disable (a software change).

However, the seatbelt beeps are a good thing to have if you ever let your teen use the car. It's annoying enough to make them buckle up. If your seatbelt is buckled, there are no beeps.

I guess my biggest "wish" item would be the ability to get both moonroof AND the tech package... Any indication on this? I would consider waiting if I could have both. Otherwise, I'll probably get the "Four" -- as much as I want the "toys" in the tech package, the moonroof is something I'd use daily...

As for the beeps -- I (pretty easily) turned off the beeps in my gen 1 and gen 2 prius. Have they made it more difficult? It had something to do with holding down a button while starting the car - I found the directions on this forum somewhere...

You can no longer do it on your own with the 2010 Prius; you must have it done by the dealer, unless you have a ScanGuage. They have to hook it up to their computer to have it reset.

They are not likely to put the solar roof with the tech package as long as they want to maintain their MPG rating. The weight of the 2 together is the problem in the US.

I don't think that its the weight of the Tech package so much as the weight and efficiency of the 17" wheels that are bundled with the Tech package.

I was hoping Toyota would make the Power Mode persistent in the 2011. Having to push it every time I start is the only fault in an otherwise perfect car.

If you don't care for the Solar Roof function, you can always get an aftermarket moonroof installed on a V with ATP.

You can buy a Canadian model. We have the equivalent of your IV Solar & AT in our Technology Package model.
