Just a couple of pics of the FLIR system I installed in my new Gen III. Works very nicely, and is a significant safety feature for night time driving!

It's a PathfindIR system commercially available in the US from places like B&H.

    Cheers

And for reasons not entirely understood, the forum system flipped my images on the side... I'm not going to bother and if you want to see them upright you'll have to rotate them +90 CW yourself... sorry.

and yes... I live and work in Australia, we drive on THE OTHER side of the road.... not the WRONG side. Just a matter of what you're used to. I had to switch!

That's why your photos flipped. You have to remember to pre-flip them before the bits cross the equator. :D

Balt, would you add some photos of where you mount the FLIR camera and any modifications/cutting you needed to make? Thanks!

When we visit Bermuda, we get used to it quickly-it's a matter of life and death. Very effective FLIR, we could use that here for spotting deer, well in your case Kangaroos and Dingos LOL.
At first I noticed the speed and was hoping that was Km per hour and not another out of control Prius.:)

I want one! Where did you get it and would you mind telling us what general price it cost you. Is there any way to make it display on the nav screen, like with a toggle button from map to flir?

I've been in a few white outs that a FLIR like that would have been a God send.

We get those once in awhile. We call them December, January, February, and sometimes March.
