Sometimes I want to turn the A/C fan off for a short time so I press the fan off switch. To turn it on again I have to hold the fan speed switch until it returns to original speed. Can the fan off switch be changed to a switch like the A/C switch where you press it once for off and again for on? It sure would be more convenient.

I don't understand. Press once turns the fan off. Press again should turn it on.

Press the fan OFF or the 'AUTO' and you'll came back to the previous adjustment.

Maybe I have a defective switch. I press once and the fan goes off. I press again and the fan remains off.

The "OFF" button is to turn the fan off and off only.

Yeah, and that "OFF" switch is the dumbest thing. A switch should be binary: on / off. THe off switch is *unary,* --does only one thing-- requiring yet another switch (AUTO) to turn things on. The logic of this and wasted motion offends me. The properly configured AUTO switch could turn things on, then off. The OFF switch is redundant and useless. I'd sure like to speak to the guy who designed the console controls.

If the Auto button was also a off button and they removed the off button, that would be more annoying. For alot of reasons.

Say you had just the fan on not in auto mode, then they would have to make the first press of the auto button to switch to auto mode, then you would have to hit the auto button again to switch everything off?

The "Auto" button turn on and off the "Auto" climate control so it really is a on/off for the "auto"
