The Runabout ([ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danube_class_starship"]The Runabout[/ame]). One day I hope to attach some nacelles. Or at least photoshop a picture.
I'm with Exponent - space themed names are great! The car's already practically a space ship. We're going to name ours Normandy, in honnor of the ship in the game Mass Effect. -Iain
I have always thought that naming a car is kinda silly, with that said both my Gen 2 and my Gen 3 have names. The Prius cars are the only cars I have ever owned that had "names". Gen 2 was named Pri 2007-2010 RIP Totaled in front of my house while I slept. Gen 3 Casper 2010-???? My wife started calling the Gen 2 Pri due to the female navigation voice. I named the Gen 3 Casper, the DRCC and LKA is like having a gentle, friendly ghost helping you drive the car I knew I should have gotten White. Actually that was the color I wanted but could not wait to special order a V with ATP in Blizzard Pearl. There were only 5 in the entire NW. Red was my second choice anyway.
Wanted to go with "Toyonda Pious" after S. Park, ha-ha. "Excessive smug emissions." But, it's usually just "the Prius." Or, the "Pod." "Open the pod bay doors, Hal"
We use boys' names that alliterate with the car type (note that the -tje suffix is a diminutive term): After Careltje (Renault Clio), Yapie (Yaris), Pietertje (Prius 2) and Arie (Opel Astra) came Petertje (Prius 3).
I am sure the cars do, but I wish they were more obvious. I always try to park near other Prius's in dark garages in the hopes that they mate and I get one of the offspring, but I think they have only fooled around so far.
