    Hey all,

Wanted to share my project Prius that I'll be building. I have done several project cars in the past and am very excited to show the world what can be done with a Prius.

We've posted a release on the car on our website:

Tunerzine.com Announces Project Toyota Prius Hybrid - TunerZine.com - Your Online Automotive Magazine! Street Racing, Drift, Import Cars, Models, JDM

And check out the awesome render done by Gurnade!

Let me know what you guys think for what we have planned for the project!

    looks great!!

one thing I'd change --- go for more of a bronze wheel rather than the "extreme gold"

looks interesting.. but I don't see any wheel movement room.. so you can't drive this anywhere.

yeh yeh, but it sets wrong expectations..

just cause u can draw it, doesn't mean you SHOULD!

and I think it looks cool, but you're never gonna build that..

I like the front including the different fogs and LEDs. The rim color looks out of place and the tires seem to squirt out as if they are too small. I think it could work though if you changed the Toyota emblem to a gold that matched and maybe a couple of other gold accents. I like the non gaps between the tires and body, but that body looks like its a little too close to the ground and a pot hole would kill it. I think it is the body kit that is too low not that the drop is too great but the drop is probably easier to fix.

    A good effort.

You are correct in that the car won't have the stance that's in the render nor will it sport that aggressive of a wheel fitment.

The car has a mild drop on TEIN H-Tech's and will be sporting a set of 18x8 +43 offset wheels. There is a possibility that the rear will be pushed out 10mm to a nicer fitment.

And there is no reason why someone couldn't build their car to look like it is on the render, it just wouldn't be a very comfortable daily driver :p

I have always done gold-faced wheels on all my white project cars and it's not going to change now!

    Here's a photo of my E92 project:

I do like the white color with the gold rims as I'm sure it will look a lot better in person than in rendering. Just not too big a fan of the three bar grill as it is a bit too mild for such a hi-tech car (and plus the fact that it reminds me of a Ford grill).
I think you are running the same bodykit as this guy:

Yep that is the AIMGAIN demo car. We'll be getting our hands on that kit and hopefully be the first in the States with it.

Jason - That's awesome. I'm sure it will look clean and sharp! Is the shop in Irvine? I work by JWA and would love to swing by and check it out when it's near completion.

Sounds very good so far. I agree with the Aimgain kit, a no brainer!!! Can't wait to see the end result.

Let me know if you need another prius. I live in Irvine as well. Planning on a few things. I would like to get my hands dirty in anything you might need.
    Just thought I would ask...
Good luck on the project. I would like to personally take a look when you are done.

Just wanted to put in an update. We just picked up the AIMGAIN kit from Kyoei USA (www.kyoei-usa.com) yesterday and everything looks great. I dropped off the exhaust tips to get powdercoated black.

We are scheduled in to receive a full wrap from Daley Visual (Daley Visual Custom Wraps) - the best in the business when it comes to vehicle wraps - the week after Christmas. So stay tuned.

The Meister wheels will also be arriving from Japan right after New Years. So expect some completed photos of the project right after New Years.

Just need to find a quick source for turn signal mirrors now. If anyone has a pair they're willing to sell, or knows someone that can get me a set before Christmas time, please let me know so that I can get it wrapped with the vehicle.
