Wow, that's a wide molding! Thanks for the PDF. Mine have been holding up just fine as they've been installed now for several months. Picking a height is tricky as no molding will completely protect your Prius from every conceivable door. Higher up could work better against SUVs and trucks. Lower down is better against a standard car. Mine are up high and so far, no dings (yet!).

Here is the wide, tapered one installed. Only blackberry pics, so they aren't the best...

    That looks great!

The tapered mouldings (and the way they're mounted) really fit with the lines of the car.

I've got to start saving my pennies again....;)

Here are some better pics of the tapered moulding installed...

I do like the way they follow the rake of the top crease on the door. The other moulding that looked like it went almost straight across, even though the front was 2" lower than the back.

While I'm not a fan of moldings, yours is the nicest one I've seen.

Just installed a set of side molding purchased from eBay for $85 shipped:

Think these look a lot better than plain boring side moldings. ;)

I just bought a set of these last week from Sparks Toyota for our silver Prius. The instructions utilize a magnetic straightedge to install them. Did you just use painter's tape to mark the line?

I am so shocked but these side moldings look great. Like they were meant to be there. Now I feel like my doors are naked. Can't believe you can put them on yourself. How do they hold up with car washes and wear and tear? Thanks for the great pics. I'm a new Prius owner and happy to finally own one. :)

They're discontinued and no longer available from Toyota.
