I have some questions.. the instructions were lacking..

How do I know when the battery is charged? Do I leave the main breaker on when charging/not in use? How long does it take?

The green indicator light on the dash means ready. What does the red one mean? Empty?

and how many volts should the battery be at when fully charged?

What do all the LEDs mean on the BMS unit... AND

How do I attach the vent hose, and has anyone left it off without any trouble/overheating?

    Thanks!!!

Congrats. BTW, do you have Thunder Sky or Mot Cell batteries? Will be interesting to hear about your experiences. Owners do different things and I may be more cautious. I get uncomfortable when an individual cell voltage climbs above 3.4v because the voltage climbs much faster beyond this point for the amount of current input into the cell. (Volt meters have some variability between them too.) I like to see my charged pack voltage up to 54.3v while no individual cell exceeding 3.4v and then the charger taper off to shutdown.

Battery will stop charging when it is full. You do not need to mess with the breaker

Red comes on when your Enginer pack is low. I shut the system off at this point. You'll wan to charge back up the Enginer pack before turning the system on again.

Voltage for the entire pack would be around 54-56 V or so. Individual cells ~3.4 or 3.5V

Thundersky batteries are yellow and fairly large. Mottcells are grey and smaller.

Sadly, I wrote them a new instruction guide for the Gen-1 install (Yes, I know this is a Gen-2 you have) and it was 100 times better than the one they had. I took the trouble to generate 3-D diagrams and re-write the "Chinglish" into English, and took very clear and sharp photos of the various parts of the install. They put it up on their website for a few weeks and then replaced it with the old, crappy one again. I had planned to make them a new one for the Gen-2 also, but I guess they didn't want it.
I never figured out where that was supposed to go, so I never attached it. But that was also in the winter time. I don't have an enginer kit currently (although I've had a new one on order for quite some time and haven't received it) so I'm not sure how the Summer heat would affect that.

    adric22,
I'd be interested in seeing that Gen-1 guide if you still have it around anywhere.

I reinstalled the storage box after some slight modification.
