Door Side Moldings

gotta say, yours looks much better than mine... i just got it done at the dealership and here's how they installed it:

 

it looks like the mouldings on the Grey Prius are from the Gen2 Prius.

Mine came from the dealership with the same as your Red Prius, i changed them to the "wedge" shaped ones to follow the lines of the car.

 

The grey one has body side moldings from Sportwing which are sold through the Priuschat shop. They are the updated version and a new style from the ones offered for the gen II. The USA Prius doesn't not offer OEM Toyota body side moldings. We have to go aftermarket. Or we can purchase the ones from Canada.

 

Those are so low they're not going to be very effective against anything but a clown car.

Kidding aside--they should be installed higher up, so they hopefully line up with the outer most protruding part of the door of a car next to you.

If it were me, I'd have the dealer reinstall them.

 

I like the look of the wedge shaped ones, where did you get them?

 

I didn't like the look of any side mouldings until I saw yours, they look GREAT, right on

 

I ordered the "wedge" shaped mouldings from Sparks Toyota.

I think there are some offered on ebay too. These are a "South East Toyota" part, not available anywhere else.
