It appears to be an expensive option, the LEDs. Over here, it's only available on one package - Touring (which inclds the 17" alloys) but it's not well stocked. The Touring costs nearly the same (with $100s) of the same model but equipped with the solar panel moonroof and at least in my area, ppl are going for the moonroof.
Yes it is expensive, but nowhere near as a expensive as on the Lexus. The thing is in the UK, especially when you don't live in a town, it is almost a must. A lot of the roads where we live are very narrow and wild live jumping about everywhere... You'd be even more shocked that our top of the range model, the only thing I didn't spec was leather and the solar panel moonroof, comes to about US$44k on the road....So it is a lot of money....But in theory per year my wife will save US$9k compared to running her current car.... Can't wait for it to come, better prepare our PDI programming list to ensure that silly beep is switched off...
Sounds like a good chunk of Canada. In fact, I just saw a pair of baby deers this evening on a dark country road. Quite a cute sight.. they were playing around until I turned on the fogs, then they stood still for about a minute.
From the one visit I had many moons ago your roads a much wider and have less potholes in them And the wild live is a lot bigger That is if I don't count the drunks walking home in the UK...
lol. Well you didn't go far enough then. If you did, you'd find unpaved, unlit gravel roads and yes, there are houses on those roads and no, they don't have names (just grid numbering.. so Township Rd # for N-S roads and Range Road # for W-E and replace # with numbers) Hitting a drunk or hitting a caribou.... it's not gonna end well either way (and pray that neither of those happen!)
Are you sure? I mean it's good for star-gazing but otherwise, I see no reason to go there. I'd think a trip to the Rockies is a better idea =)
Am off to Canada, BC actually, in a few weeks for a family wedding - I'll let you know ;-) ... I did spend a few years working/commuting to the Pacific north-west which was staggeringly beautiful ... Jon
Hmmm ... I don't like the 15" wheels either but will console myself with the extra mpg ... Apparently there is a grey/solar/leather in stock in Guildford but no led's anywhere ?? Look forward to seeing the pics in a couple of weeks then - maybe we can catch up for a coffee and you can show it off !! Jon
coast or interior? They're world's apart (one's lush, green and forest-y... the other is a desert with cacti)
Absolutely, you are only around the corner from me! We are up the Chilterns behind the Elephant enclosure Good that you can compromise on the wheels....I can't, my company car is running on 22", am returning it since I sold my powerboat and don't need a big 4x4 anymore so I bought an Audi A4 cabriolet last weekend on 16" and even my wife told me to get some 19" fitted Due to the way the Prius operates we will keep it stock at 17".... But yes lets meet up....
