    Hi All.

A few months ago, I purchased a 2010 Prius II. I wanting to add the satellite tuner, since currently I'm using my iPhone and it's not very "comfortable".

I want to know if there is anyone out there that has done the installation themselves? I'm not wanting to have the dealer install it since they tend to soemtimes be "sloppy" and may dirty the seats/doors or scratch the plastics in order to install the tuner.

Any help or feedback would be very helpful. :D

    Thanks,
    Carlos

Just search Ebay for Toyota and XM... The kit can be had with instructions.

As a side note, your logic doesn't fly - dealers will likely do a far better job than you will - but they will charge you for it...

rrolff- thanks for responding. I'm already aware how to get the information, I've done that already. I was looking for feedback from others that may have already done it.

Regarding my logic, maybe it doesn't fly for you, however I've experienced situations where dealers have put oil stains inside the fabric of the car and also scratched interior plastics. Some may not notice these things or have had a better experience with some dealerships, but I can only speak of my own.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Well I done it. All you havt to do is remove the consol and all the trim being carefull not to ding or scratch anything. Then remove the HU and add th XM module (After programming it) Re-route the wiring and XM transmitter to have a view of the sky. Re-install the HU and all the trim and that should do it. Should not take more than 2 or 3 hours to complete including programming of the XM. If you are not buying the XM mini and thinking of a complete XM Tuner (Under the seat) then you wii have to add additional time to complete the installation. Good Luck

ABL- Thanks for the info. I was not aware there was an XM Mini option?
I was only thinking the only option I had was with under the seat option sold by Toyota.

Can you tell me a bit more about the Mini and how it compares to the under the seat option?

    Thanks again.
