I picked up a Prius last Saturday. So far so good. It's the wifes car, her and I both like it. Hoping to learn all kinds of new thing that I don't know yet. This is our first hybrid so we are little concerned about longevity. This is a 2007 (touring I think) without the GPS. It has 50k on the odo and seems to be in great shape. I did however put a certified wrap on it through the dealer so the car is covered bumper to bumper for 100k.
Thanks for having and please, fill my head with hybrid knowledge. LoL

I picked up an '07 with 48k a few weeks ago. I have a feeling neither of us have anything to worry about. :)

Thanks for the replies. Like I said so far so good. It was a little bit of a culture shock at first because we traded a charger R/T for it. But after a few 100 miles long rides in the prius thoughts of the charger just kinda melted away. LOL
This thing get better millage then one of my motorcycle and almost as good as the other.

Welcome aboard. How quickly we understand what all the fuss is about. Then you want to tell other people while they stare at you like you're crazy. Then, they say something American about what they like in their car and realize how far we have to go as a society before we put common sense before emotion.

Congratulations on the new to you Prius.....and WELCOME to the Forums. You can learn a lot here and in time that Charger will fade into a memory....I know I loved my BMW but this is a lot of fun to drive and I like the way she looks. Can turn her on a dime and park her just about anywhere. Too bad this wasn't available when I purchased my first car in 1987 a Corolla.....:welcome:

If one did not come with the car buy the correct year Owner's Manual from a dealer and read it. It's full of stuff you need to know.

If you did not get a copy of Toyota's (not a dealer's!) Scheduled Maintenance Guide, see here:

Thank you for the link. From what I can tell it is the Hk package. It's the only one that fits other then there is no anti-theft that I can see. I was guessing at the touring package because I had no clue.

Not at all. We listed the numbers instead of the alpha code so find what package no. HK is and it'll be listed in the profile!

Welcome to the Forum! I'm a new Prius owner (two weeks!) and a fellow Oregonian. You'll love the car. Now that I have one, I can't believe how many are on the streets of Portland! :) Browse the chat threads and you'll learn tons! I'm just now trying to master the pulse-n-glide.
