Disable backup beep?

    I saw something in another thread about disabling the backup beep in a Gen II Prius. Really?! Such a blessedness is possible? :D Can it be done through menus on the screen, or would I get the dealership to do it (having little in the way of tools or skills to go into the electronics myself)?

    You can do it yourself without any tools. Just a series of button presses. There should be a few threads here on PC if you look around. Search "disable backup beep".

    You can also quiet the seatbelt beep by following the same instructions but replacing "shift to reverse then back to park" with "latch seatbelt then unlatch seatbelt". Might want someone else's helping hand for that one.

    Keep in mind that if you disconnect the 12v battery, you will have to follow the procedure again as the beep will be back.

    Yep. That and the automatic window rollup.
