Just saw this on AOL Autos:

"When a battery pack does go bad, how much does it cost to replace it once it's out of warranty? To get a sense for this kind of expense, we called our local Toyota dealership, Dunning Toyota of Ann Arbor, Mich., and spoke with service manager Woody Woods.

Woods said that although there are three different battery packs that have been used in the different Prius models over the years, the replacement cost is similar, ranging from about $2,300 to $2,700, without labor (which isn't that much, in this case, adding less than 10 percent to the total)."

So - $230 to $270 to replace the traction battery?

Come back few question to everybody. My Prius is a JDM car from 1997year, Gen1, but not in all details. Of course HV battery now is dead, (too old) and this battery included modules type D (six cells round in plastic tube inside the basket 7.2 V/p/modull) nominal voltage this unit 288V. Yours know some workshop to buy a replacement? Next important ask: This car heave japan diagnostic software, and any scanner no make connection to ODB2/CAN, and from this reason is impossible check any codes. Somebody know this problem ?
