My last '10 had the misty gray (light interior) - I put the dark gray leather in for contrast (looked good). This one came with a very dark gray interior (better for dirt etc) - so I went with the light gray for contrast. This one happens to be 'Pewter' (more costly Tuscany leather upgrade by Katzkin).

Install was simple (Coach auto restylers - Orange CA) - took around 2 hours in and out. They do cars for many dealers - and know the Prius well...

Edit: Cost was around $750 for Tuscany leather, $400 for install...

It looks great. I like the contrast to the somewhat monotone of the dark gray interior.

To clarify a few colors (PMs were asking) - on my first III, I had very light gray (misty gray) - went with Granite (Katzkin Tuscany) color for contrast.

This car is a dark gray interior (much more dark all around) - I put in the "misty gray (Katzkin has one in regular leather)" color for their Tuscany leather - the color is "pewter".

I get the stuff from autoineriorslive.com because it's always the lowest (by far) price, and they have their stuff together.... A lot of the time there's a Tuscany free upgrade... They have good customer service, and a very good website (I appreciate both).

I'd like to see someone go dark brown in a light car or vise versa.....

I believe it's just a softer leather - same content.

Content wise, front seats are the same but rear have slightly more leather.

To show another use of contrasting colors with Katzkin leather interiors, here's what my Gen II looked like with Bone-colored seats in a dark grey interior. My intention had been to also put more bone colored areas on the interior of the doors, but I traded the car in before I got to it. Oh yes, in the pic of the back seat is my WeatherTech floor mat, which I hadn't taken out yet after winter.

Very nice, maybe one day I'll go back to leather. Pretty fair price.
