Bought a basic 2010 Prius II at Hometown Toyota in Ontario, OR, last weekend (5/29/10). $22102 - Prius II with carpet floor mats & bumper appliqué $ 50 - Doc fee $ 1284 - ID sales tax (5.8%) $ 14 - Title fee $ -750 - Toyota incentive rebate -------- $22700 - Out the door (paid cash) We didn't do a lot of research, but my sense is that we got a reasonably good deal. True?
I do not know of a $750 rebate that I would have been eligible for during the month of May. That being said, I think the price I got was fairly strong. Although I'm still waiting for the car to arrive and get completely prepped up
The rebates vary by region. During May there was a $1000 rebate in the mid-west which was not available on the east coast. On the east coast the offer was for 0% financing for 36 months which even at money market rates means a significant discount on your cost. Not sure what is being offered for June but the dealers are pretty up-front about what they can offer since it comes from Toyota not the dealer.
27000 out the door (including tax, tags, title) for winter gray III with misty gray leather, nav, solar moon roof package.
I’m a hopeful future Prius owner trying to figure out some pricing questions. I’ve been shopping around for the past week in the Los Angeles area and received the following lease quotes: Prius III w/ navigation $299/month + tax $700 drive off, Money Factor – 0.00075 Prius IV w/ navigation $341/month + tax $700 drive off, Money Factor – 0.00075 I’m looking for a black or blue Prius w/ gray interior. I’ve been communicating primarily with Santa Monica Toyota, but it seems like most of the other dealers can match this price. Ideally I’d like to get a Package III w/ navigation for $310/month or a Package IV w/ navigation for $360/month [inclusive of tax] but I’m not sure if that is unrealistic. Looks like I'm getting: Prius IV with Nav 36 months, 15k miles, $0 down/$0 due at signing $357/month includes tax and GAP
on a V w/Nav, I got almost 9% off msrp, doc fee just $250. Not as good as some here. Oh well. Most dealers in this area were reluctant to give out decent discounts in email. Two did though and of those, one gave me a vin but did not require any earnest money and as I live 2 hours from dealer, I went with that dealer.
What state is that in? What dealership as well? I'm getting my this week: 2010 Prius III with Navigation and Solar roof Blizzard Pearl +$176 Cost: 16109+176=$16285 Not sure about the fees, does anyone know what legitimate fees I should be expecting for Maryland? And is this a good purchase? I am making two new car purchase at the same time. :S so I'm thinking that I'm getting a good deal, but does anyone out there getting a better terms? So far I only lay down my deposit while waiting for the car (coming this week)
Hello! I'm equally interested as I am in Frederick and looking for a similar prius. Please share! Thanks - kevin at [email protected]
Hey Kevin, I getting my from a friend at Younger Toyota in Hagerstown, his name is Alex Swope he just recently started in younger, so I'm kind of helping him keeping his job (buying two cars at the same time through him). I also got my with $1000 student discount, so if you where to ask I think you can get a deal for $27109 with solar roof and navigation which is $1470 off MSRP pretty good deal as well. Just make sure you go and ask for him because the other guys that I talked to before (in the same place) won't even take a dollar off MSRP!! They also have this special for LIFETIME free oil change and maintenance for anyone buying new car, both of my cars are getting this BUT it look likes BDunker is getting the best of all deals, hey can you share where you got your prius at? Anyways, does anyone know what is the legitimate fees that I should be expecting from Maryland dealership? Tax+ titles+??? how much is the title in this place?
Can you please clarify the student discount you got? Did you get it for a Prius? I checked Toyota's terms and conditions for the $1000 college student rebate, and it *does not* apply to Prius. Toyota Financial Services "$1000 rebate on new Toyota Camry (excludes Hybrid model), Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Tacoma and Yaris vehicles - available January 5, 2010 through January 3, 2011" So, did you buy a different car, or managed to get the rebate for a Prius?
You can get a III with solar and nav package for $23,700 + TTL. You can get a IV with solar and nav package for $27,600 + TTL. This is in Chicago and including the $1,000 rebate instead of the finance rate. It doesn't seem MD has a rebate. But, you do have finance rate special. So, you have to add $1,000 to my prices. PM me if you want my sales person and dealer information.
Would love to know what people in the San Francisco Bay Area are paying for a Prius II or III. Right now I'm hitting numbers like $24,800 out the door for a new Prius II -- this seems about 1k too high. Am I being unrealistic? Sales tax in this area is 9.5%. Dealer referrals and experiences also welcomed.
Yeah.... but they included the door leather pieces as well as the armrest. I told them it better look like it came from the factory or no deal. I ended up getting the leather for less than half price because they had told me it was a dark gray interior and when it turned out to be misty gray i threatened to cancel the sale... so they threw out the leather option for a really good price and i took it. If it was cloth i would have preferred the dark gray, but with leather I definitely prefer the misty gray, so it all worked out for the best.
Guys, I did got the discount for my Prius and the car is in my garage right now  Here is my invoice price: $26109 + 176 (for blizzard pearl) process fee $100 titling and registration fees $50 tire tax $4 title tax $1583.07 (6% MD tax) Lien fee $20 registration fee $148 total $28189.60 I got zero APR for 36 with 2500 down and life time free oil change I hope I got a pretty good deal Anyways, I'll post a picture of my prius tomorrow its pretty late now
