I have a question about leasing. Will you be able to buy it at the end of the lease term? If you can what price will you be paying? Thanks
Kay Jennings Springfield Toyota in Northern Virginia. I went through their internet sales department and asked about one of the internet specials they had posted online. The price they quoted was the price I paid, plus taxes and fees. They would not haggle, but it was the best deal I found in the area.
Has anyone looked into leasing a certified used 2010 prius? Is that worthwhile to save money or just better off leasing a new one? Also, what is a good lease price in NY/NJ for a Model II with no money down?
I'm looking to lease Prius-II before June 1 and this is the best deal in NY I found so far. 1st month- 209 DMV- 200 Bank fee- 650 Taxes- 630.13 Total up front 1689.13 payment 209 a month.
I just want the car tired of dealing with salesmen! they are locating me one, I negotiated price first with another dealer...but it was still higher in the end with payments based on the same car with the exact same options. base III (blue tooth/upgraded stereo) 36 month lease 15K year 1500 down (includes 1st month) 246 month (taxes included in payments) Black with dark grey interior ?
Yesterday I purchased a Prius IV with Nav for $28,052, or roughly $725 under invoice price (once you count in floor mats and the southeast Toyota dealer charge). Didn't even need to negotiate, the sales manager offered me the price over the phone. The key to that, though, was the "sternly worded letter" I sent to the GM and Service Manager about a week and a half ago. I had already purchased 2 Toyotas from the dealership in the past. I was getting horrid service on the insanely priced $400 headlight bulb on my '05 Prius. I told them that due to their multiple service mishaps, and the terribly non-competitive quote their Internet Sales Manager gave me for the new Prius I'd asked about, I'd be taking all future business elsewhere and I wouldn't buy my new 2010 from them. Well, they figured out a way to make it all right. Sales Manager had a brand new Camry (10 miles on it) dropped off at my office the next day so they could take my '05 Prius in to fix the headlamp so I wouldn't have to waste another half day going in for the repair (had already been in once before, it wasn't repaired). Then he off the bat gave me a great deal, and had me in and out within an hour yesterday for my purchase. Being a repeat customer pays off sometimes. Love my new car and will continue to stick with this dealership!
I'm in the SF Bay area, No. CA. I emailed 10 or so dealers, stating they had one chance to offer me their best price. I was exact in what I wanted. I followed up only with the best response (City Toyota, Daly City, CA) and paid, if I remember, $200 over Consumers Reports' stated invoice, plus tax, etc. That was a good, not excellent price at the time. I felt I got what I wanted: no stressfull, time-consuming negotiations, I price I could live with, and the exact car I wanted. This was in December, 2009. Took me about one hour of work. I believe this is the strategy Consumer Reports recommends.
Just bought a IV with solar and navi ( can't get the former without the latter) for $28,250 with only tax and tags as extra costs. Played a few dealers against one another and had two dealer turn the deal down for $28,500.
Prius II Winter Grey / Dark Grey mats and rear applique msrp: 23,819. $21,150 + $298 Doc + $125 title - $800 (trade in) + 6.25% tax ($1271.88) $22,044 out the door. ($22,844 - if you factor back in the money I got for the trade) Not easy for us to find this color combo... none of the lots had it in stock, we're waiting for it to arrive some time this week.
Now I feel so bad leasing in December...this is almost exactly the same deal I got except mine was $360/mo and 48mo. with 15K per year. Did you get special service terms?
