I nearly did a few times when trying to press the sunroof switch. Has anyone actually needed to use it? How was the service?
My wife did it. Same scenario - trying to close the sunroof. The operator was very nice about it. Nope, haven't needed it yet - but it's nice to know it's there.
I pressed it just to see if it really worked. It does. And I was pleased that the service gives you a chance to cancel the call when you do that. If it hadn't done that, I would have been really embarassed.
I do not have SOS on my car but on a rental Malibu I hit the OnStar button twice on the first night trying to hit the overhead light. I did not see a way to cancel the call. The same operator answered both times and was extremely nice. After the second call, she just started a conversation saying that we may as well talk if I was going to keep calling her
I have pressed and cancelled it too. I do want to let it connect once to make sure all is working...even thought I had it registered at the dealership. Fidnign out it isn't right at the time of need would be a bad thing.
Thanks! Hmmm, $129...hmmm. I don't know...not sure if i want to keep it.... Oh yeah, forgot the original question...never touched the button because i don't have a sunroof to play with.
BTW, i made a poll on a related topic: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...627-poll-sos-will-you-pay-after-1st-year.html
The 1 time I needed it in January the service was awful enough for me to inform the dealer & for the SC Director to call & apologize. Here's my thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...ota-safety-connect-first-use.html#post1043354
