DH and I are heading out this evening on a road trip, exploring North and Eastern Washington. We'll have the netbook, so I won't be "gone" as much, and I plan to post photos along the way.

Have fun! We are heading to Bellingham this evening, so we can see our son tomorrow on the Lady Washington Then, it's on to Mt Baker, and winding our ways East and eventually down to Spokane, where we hope to tag up with Daniel. Back towards the West, going through Leavenworth, and then on to home.
Okay, tonight we are in Winthrip, WA... We were in Bellingham this morning, and then we went up to Mt Baker, which was cool... played in the snow up there... then drove through the mountains, took some awesome photos (I'll upload them when I can), and now we are in a really cute hotel with a balcony overlooking the river and a great thunderstorm! Gotta go sit in the hot tub now... g'nite!

Still snow only at 5K, interesting. The order that the flickr set comes up in seems sort of reversed, if that matters... so day 1 was in the later page numbers. . Was he actually doing *pushups* on those fenceposts?? . _H*
He's actually stretching his spine... it's a yoga move, which he does to help with the pain. Yes, the set is backwards. That's how Flickr works. No one is perfect...

We are in Kettle Falls now... Heading for Grand Coulee Dam today... we are meandering our way along. Yesterday's highlight was explaining to the border guard why we were entering Canada, and then why we were entering WA at another tiny town... "we missed our turn back there, decided to go this way." Oh, yeah... they ran a background check on us, too. Of course, we had to stop for coffee in Canada: We are having a great time. :car:

Tonight we are at Moses Lake. We did Grand Coulee dam today - wow. Seriously Did Not Know that WA has this sort of incredible geological scenery! I'm too exhausted to upload new photos tonight... will do that tomorrow morning. We haven't decided yet if we are going to Spokane or Leavenworth tomorrow. We are tired.
great time for a drive. too bad you werent up there two weeks ago when they had about 3 feet of snow on the passes. that would have been fun.
Uploading Day Three photos now... had a decent night's sleep last night... this hotel room is bigger than my house! We've made the decision to do Leavenworth today... so, off to Bavaria!
In Yakima Hey all... we are now in Yakima, in our hotel for the night. I'm exhausted. Naptime, then maybe a swim in the pool, then some serious sleep. I do have more photos uploaded... :yawn: Tomorrow, it's heading towards home, with a short side trip to see Mt. Rainier -- unless we are too tired. Missed Daniel this trip - it just didn't work out, and we're too ready for home again...
We are home I'll get the last of the photos uploaded to Flickr, probably tomorrow. Sometime during my doing laundry/grocery shopping/sorting through junk mail time.
