My wife and I took delivery of new Prius V yesterday, thanks to the efforts of Dianne Whitmire, and her colleagues: Jane and Nate, at Manhattan Beach Toyota in Manhattan Beach, California. Jane was particularly helpful in explaining every facet of the car, including a tip as to how to manage to keep the 12 volt battery alive when not driving the car for a while. Even got the "beeps" under control.

The price was very right. The attention to detail was spot-on. The transaction was brief and to-the-point.

    Thanks to all.

Thanks. The weekend is coming, and I'm sure that many (s)miles will be added.

Marshal, thank you! It was a treat to meet you both... and you're some of the kindest folks I have ever met. :) It's nice to be appreciated, yes... but we also appreciated YOU!

If I had any doubt about what type of car best fits the Los Angeles freeway traffic, that was erased for good today. After two days' use, I have 153 to-work-and-back miles on my Prius. Average speed: 19 mph. Average fuel economy: 50.4 mpg. Comfy. Quiet A/C. Great variety of tunes' resources. GPS map says I can't go anywhere. iPhone connected. I'm set. Just need the optional espresso machine and barista.

I wonder if I could try the self-park feature on my freeway trip home?
