For those of you following all 16 pages of this thread................... I found my best deal at: Prius II w/mats $23750 MSRP OTD price with rebate: $22535 I am satisfied. Seems about average for the area, and I saved some good money on tax with the trade. My price before tax with the rebate was 21,690.
So buyers remorse aside (buying a car is a large purchase), I walked away from the dealer here in Denver with the following: Silver Prius III w/ Nav 5 floor mat package all in for $25,000 plus taxes then minus my trade in. I think I got a good deal, maybe not a great deal...? Thanks to everyone for posting their prices, it helped.
Picked mine up today. Black Prius II w/ mats $20220 + 750 freight + 100 processing = $21070 out the door Best price I could find in the Baltimore Area.
May I know the dealer where you got that fantastic deal from? I'm in the Metro DC area and I don't mind driving a couple of miles north to check the deal out. Thanks!
i am paying 27000 euros for the prius in greece its the base model ! i am suposed to pick it up on thursday and its going to be a yellow cab in athens i hope it worksout ok! i ordered it o earth day hehe i didnt even realize it untill later that day ! but it only comes in 2 trims here in greece ! a loaded one and a fully loaded! it weird all cars in greece only come in 2 trims !
Check Russel Toyota, Koons, Ourisman Toyota, and Darscars. I got their names from pouring over this thread for DC area dealers. I'm still in the process of getting the best offer (live in Philadelphia), but my lowest figure has come from Russel and Koons, especially if you tell them you are ready to buy now, and if you are nearing the end of the month.
Hi Here's what I paid: Prius II in blizzard white pearl, w/ mats. $21377 + $200 paint upgrade. $23992 out of door. Hayward Toyota. It was an interesting drive home over the hilly I-280 South. Trying to maxmize MPG was almost videogamish. The car was real happy going down hills and charging the battery. Uphill was another matter and MPG's really dropped. That's the only time I kinda missed the V6 from my other automobile. Also the regen gearing is nice to slow down on exit ramps. Looks good, rear seat legspace is pure serendipity, lots of storage. My 8yr old's take was "unlike any other car - interior and exterior". Now, I have to decide whether to put racing stripes or flames. Just to compensate for the fact the other car in the running was a Golf TDI DSG w/ paddle shifters. Also, thanks to prius chat for my pre-buy research. Happy MPG'ing.
I had very good luck with Beltway Toyota which I detail elsewhere in this thread. Negotiation was totally by email and was zero pressure.
I am in the market for a Prius III w/ navigation. So far the best price i've gotten in San Diego is $23,900 (plus tax, title, etc...). Not sure if I should still be looking for a lower price but, so far that is the best one. Does that price sound like a good buy?
I just bought a Prius III red barcelona last week. Here is what I paid: Base price: 21,295 Destination: 750 Tags/title: 222 Processing: 100 Total: 22,367 (before taxes) (+free cargo mats) How is this price? -- Great? Bad? Typical? I would also confirm that Baltimore probably has had the best deals on Prius in April. I did talk to other dealers in MD, but none had the low internet prices I got from local dealers. Has anyone got a better price than this on a Prius III ?
Oh you guys are so lucky, my UK top of the range version with a few extras came to £27,134 including tax, so that is US$42,308 But that is downsizing my wifes car and half the price of her last vehicle
Bought my silver Prius III in December 2009. Paid $25,700.00 out the door. This includes NJ sales tax at 7%. 4 years registration and plates.
Got a 2010 Prius IV last Thursday with power moonroof package, floor mats, rear bumper etching, Blizard Pearl. Sticker/MSRP: $32,119 Traded 2007 Prius II* with 35,500 miles. Paid $16,900 difference, plus tax, tag/title, and $500 "processing fee." Got $750 cash back applied at financing. So I don't know how much I paid, but it seems like somewhere between MSRP and "invoice", and it seems like they gave me a pretty fair trade for my 2007, which I figure was worth around $13,000 to $13,500 trade-in according to Kelly Blue Book. They had an "invoice" for the vehicle that showed the same number as Edmunds, plus the $750 destination charge, plus an extra line called AAD or something that was a little over $700 in addition to the $750 destination charge. The salesman couldn't explain what that was. (*I think I said in a previous thread that I traded a Prius III. I was misremembering incorrectly.)
Just picked up a blue model III for $22300 including freight. Also includes floor mats and cargo mats. Tried to negotiate down to $22K but the dealer wouldn't budge.
