I've been hunting around for an active Leaf forum that might have a more concentrated population of Leaf fans, but this forum appears to be the most active Leaf forum. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I would have thought there would have been one out there somewhere.

not that I know of, most here are the "type" that would be interested in the Leaf or EVs, as we already are fans of high MPG cars such as the Prius. In reality we all wanted to buy EVs, but all we could get where Priu (is that the plural of Prius?)

I imagine a site might pop up, but for now I think priuschat is it :)

Nope, it wasn't me. Looks like some domain-grabbing company bought it and registered it through 2013. They have over 100,000 domains.

This brings up an interesting topic. I'm going to start the re-work of HybridChat to be an extension of PriusChat, but now that "Hybrid" isn't exactly the only technology coming to market, should I go with another name?

how about "EVchat.com", as one that specializes in all things EV? I suppose it could cover PHEVs as well such as the Chevy Volt and the 2012 Plug-In Prius.

Edit: looks like someone has "evchat.com" as well :(

A catchy name is worth money, but Google being what it is, pretty much any name that gets enough hits will come to wide enough public attention. Any name Danny uses for a spin-off site will get so many hits from Prius Chat users that it will rise near the top of any google search of the topic in questions, be it EVs, hybrids, or the leaf.

I find it easier to have Leaf and EV conversations in one place; which is to say here. It's already a slight annoyance that Leaf threads are divided between the EV forum and the Nissan Hybrids and EVs forum.

I don't have much interest in hybrids any more, which is why I considered leaving PC a while back. My interest now is all in BEVs. But I'd hate to see a new site for EVs, which inevitably would mean some EV discussions here and some there, and I'd have to be on two chat boards to keep up.

As far as I've seen - this is the most active discussion area for the Leaf - even though there are several sites out there devoted to the Leaf. It also seems to have the most knowledgeable posters (outside of me - of course).

To start with a good idea would be to have a sub-forum devoted to Leaf (just like the Volt one) and move all the Leaf related threads there.

I'm surprised you haven't heard of ApteraForum.com...it seems as big as this one or bigger...just choose the thread: 'Competitors of Aptera'. :) Oh, btw, that's how I found THIS one....someone posted a link to PriusChat.

I suggested this to the mods. Apparently they didn't care for the idea.

You're welcome! Today, someone just told me about a fairly new LEAF forum...mynissanleaf.com. It's REALLY big and it has a 'subforum' just for asking a LEAF representative questions. :)

Actually, that is the best Leaf forum I have seen so far besides PriusChat. Thanks for the info!

You could try one of the newer, catchy, domain extensions. Like the .us domain. And since we could talk about full-hybrids, mild-hybrids, EVs, Fuel Cells, and whatever else comes to market, you should steer away from naming a specific technology in the name. Perhaps something sort of vague but specific to driving things.

How about "what drives . us"
