Are there any recent purchases that can be listed here, to help us know what people are paying for a new Prius and what kind of financing you're getting?

    Hello all ...

I picked up our first Prius this past Wednesday and still haven't wiped the grin off my face :D .. fun car.

Like almost everything else up here in the Great White North the Prius prices in Canada are a fair amount more then in the States. So my numbers will not compare or help those of you below the 49th, However for any other canuks out there this is the deal I cut (could/should have done a bit better, but I'm still pleased.)

    -Sliver, dark grey interior
    -Premium with solar package
    -Leather seats
-WeatherTech mats front and rear (they look great, black)
    -Toyota cargo mat and net
    -35% tint

Paid $34,247.40 taxes in and includes a $2,000.00 rebait from Toyota and another $2,000.00 tax rebait from the Ontario government.

Will get some photos up soon, have enjoyed the pics that other have posted and all the knowledge being shared in the forum.

    Thanks
    Dan

The quote I just got from them has additional fees, so your mileage may vary. It's fairly rare for the very low prices come without an add-on or two.

I see current Prius II Lease deal is
    $189/month + $1800 down.
I remember it was $179 down in March.

Any comment or is $189 firm and final deal? Any one gotten it for less than $189/month for Prius II?

Where in CA? I'm up in Humboldt. Bought my 2004 at Mid-City Motors in Eureka and I want to be loyal to that dealer if possible. Looked at a 2010 IV last week and the sticker said, $31,500. What is the best price I should expect to pay? Any idea?

    is this an ok lease?

man, do I feel like an idiot. I was looking at a prius IV with nav and sunroof and I though 29600 was a good sale price for a lease. I see people are getting it at 27k+.

Here is the lease they are getting for me.
    545 first month
373 monthly lease with like 1k+ NY tax included in this part.
    12k/yr
    19.3k residual value
    0.00075 money value.

ok deal? should I ask for better?

so i just got back from our toyota dealer in anaheim (we have a camry and a 4runner at my house) and i test drove the new prius and i'm in love!!

i've been on here reading everybody's posts for the last few months and i finally had to join after test-driving it!

i'm looking to either pick up a sandy beach metallic III w/navi orrr a II with a custom dealer-installed navi for an extra $2,900, which would save me about $1K... are the other upgrades from II to III worth the jump?

Re: is this an ok lease?

Interesting . . . I got the exact car at the exact selling price (which, based on my experience shopping was a pretty fair deal). My cash down was 850 (license and 1st mo) and the payment of 370/mo with tax for 36mo @15k miles/yr. I would have thought yours to be a bit lower at 12k miles/yr. Maybe it's the lower cash down. Are you sure they didn't load the lease with any other options?

On edit: I just looked. The residual they used for you was for 15k miles/yr. The residual should be 19.8k for 12k miles. Ask to see the Vehicle Inquiry Report. The residuals are printed at the bottom. The STD line is for 15k miles and the LOW line is for 12k miles.

Did 0-down, all taxes & fees rolled into payment.

I'm in Jersey, this could be my opinion but Jersey sales folks always wants to trick you into paying more (or is this all salesperson?!)

When I was trying to make the deal, the salesman said; its against the LAW in New Jersey to roll taxes & fees into the lease payment?! @_@
I was ready to walk out.
In anycase, this is my FIRST time in my LIFE I am leasing a CAR!
AS you can see from my signature, I already have 2010 Prius IV.

I got Prius III Blizzard Pearl base. 0 Down. (I just paid first payment) so 35 more payments at $292. then got gap insurance
    so total is $299. I know its not a best deal~ :(
Oh, I also got 15k miles / yr.

So I asked Dealership about 2 yr free service.
They said, it was a Toyota nation wide offer.
Where you get 2 yr free service with ANY Toyota Purchase and you can bring your car to any Toyota Dealership.
    Can anyone confirm this?
