Is anyone who has the time and knowledge willing to do a wheel size fitment guide that could be a sticky to make it easier to reference what works and what doesn't. Just need measurements for the different size wheels say ranging from the standard 15" factory wheels size up to a 19"x8". Need proper offsets for each wheel size in between as to what will work and what won't. I personally am looking at an 18x7.5 inch wheel with a 50mm offset but not totally sure if it will fit. I know my factory 17's have a 50mm offset, but with the larger wheel and tire combo still fit in that offset? I am of course wanting it to not only fit but do so better than factory to get the front and rears closer to being flush with the fender like Roberts setup. Although if it's not a huge difference in looks I'd like to still be able to rotate my tires. The wheels I'm looking at are way too expensive to experiment with trying to work out the right size. This will not only help me,but a ton of others and help prevent repeated posts. Just a thought.

What would also be beneficial is if you used the stock TPMS that were in your 15"/17" factory wheels or purchased new ones. I'm seeing that when pricing a wheel/tire package, they're adding on another $150-$500 for the TPMS for the new wheels. Of course they mention you can install the stock ones, but they'll charge a hefty amount of labor.

I know could be a different topic, since it's about wheels, thought this could also be considered. Thanks in advanced.

Why don't we use your thread? Ask members to post their wheel specs. I could start:
    Wheel Size: 17 x 7.5, 40 mm offset,18.5 lbs
Tires: General, Exclaim UHP 215/45/17, 18 lbs

    from my setting 18x8 +45 front, 18x8 +25 rear compare to your 18x7.5 +50

Your front will be close to 11mm to the fender so you might need a 10mm spacer to make it flush

Your rear if you want to flush as front, you need 30mm spacer

    Here is example:

I gotcha. Thanks Robert. Will be down in Anaheim tomorrow mid afternoon if you're around. I'll PM you my number to call me tomorrow if we can meet up. Dying to see your car in person!! So in all reality for the 18x7.5's I'd need closer to your offsets to get the desired look? Will have to check and see what they have available.

Ok, just checked their site. They have the wheels I want in an 18x8 in a 45mm and a 37mm offsets. If I understand right then I would need about a 10mm spacer to get closer to what I want? Is there such thing as a 12mm spacer? I think that will be the best route. Time to save some dough. It's going to be awhile. Will have to see if I can find a deal on them through some friends. Looking at Advan RS's.

shawn dont think there is 12mm spacer, I think 10mm is good enough, my rear using 215/40/18 tires if I dont use bump stop will hit my fender ( I didnt roll my fender)

Not to jack this thread, but I was hoping someone could help me with my wheel dilemma. I swapped the stock 15's with 17's from a Scion tC but am not happy with fuel mileage hit (partially due to higher rolling resistance but I'm sure mostly due to the weight of the wheel/tire package). I am looking to change to 16's: 16x6.5 with 55 offset. I've used an offset calculator, and I think the inner clearance should be okay, although they retract from the fender a bit. Can I use a 5mm spacer and be okay, or should I go with thicker spacers (10mm, 12mm??)? If I go with the thicker spacers, would it be advisable to change out the bolts? Thanks in advance.

HI MPG, thicker space over 10mm have to change your bolts if not change bolts I think you only have like 2-3 turn, have big chance break the bolts and wheels fly away :)

HAHA the wheels will fly lol he's right.... I got 10mm and had to change the bolts... Now if our cars where German it would be sooo easy.

My wheels are 17x8 +44 offset 235/45/17 with 10mm spacers in the rear...

It's Flush I even had to take out the little black bolt in the rear, and I still rub over big bumps, the fronts rolled themselves since I rub so hard..lol will be rolling fenders soon.

I also have a set of 17x7.5 +48 offset 225/45/17 will fit with no rubbing issues, but very boring look... I will be doing 25mm spacers in the rear and 10mm up front.

Was using 235 tires in the back but I put bump stop so no rub for me only bottom out :)

Time to get camber bolts and shims

I'm currently shopping and researching for wheels/tires. So far I've decided on 18x8 wheels (19 lbs) and 215/40/18 tires (20 lbs).

Would look very nice. Only remaining concern - the very rough ride that might result.

I know some Lexus, BMW and Mazda OEM include 225/40/18.

Just remember when you decide on whatever combo you go with that the overall diameter doesn't vary much from the original size. Want to keep the speedo as close to being accurate as possible.

would 18x8 et35 fit the front? how about the rear?

if it would fit what tires should be used? 215 or 225?

    thanks.

Comparing to SC24VR6's specs, your fronts will be flush and your rears will be ~15mm or .59" from flush. You could go with either 215/40 or 225/35 to keep the tire size within the 3% of stock height.

I think they will be flush with the fenders if you were looking down from above.

how much more spacers do you think I could go at the back? 10, 15 or 20mm?

    the fronts? 5 or 10mm?
