Seems you have an answer for everything...So lets see...Hundreds of complaints come in of sudden acceleration in cars including the Prius..Toyota ignores them...People die...The press gets hold of a 911 call of the runaway Toyota with the family, who all die...Toyota runs a floor mat recall from the bad press...Press reveals there are many other such cases...Toyota decides to do other recalls...Mr. Toyoda goes on an apology tour....Toyota runs Moving forward ad....Toyota runs never seen before incentives on the Prius and other sales on other Toyotas !..And you say its all unrelated...Even Toyota would argue that with you...You look at any website the Prius was always a top 10 resell valued car...If you think people didn't pay extra for that notoriety, you're sadly mistaken and you are totally clueless about business...Because of Toyota's recent black eye...Outside of the people of this forum...People who are willing to buy a Toyota, are flocking because of its fire sale...Had Toyota not run their sales, during this tumultuous period..Every dealership would force to send 3/4 of their sales staff home and Toyota would have to do what GM did(GM, if you remember was about to go bankrupt) and stop production for long periods of time and start laying off alot of people...Running these sales lowers the value of each used Prius...In relation to the newly sold car's sticker price...Our cars may be devalued even more(Which could be the least of our worries), if its learned from Nasa that Toyota has two black eyes.

I could just see you during a blackout and say "Well he was going to run a sale on the Ice Cream, anyway !!!

Yes actually, many Prius owners in 2007 were getting more for their Prius than they paid for it because people didn't want to wait for a new one.
    Think before you post!

Yes, I'm eating crow for that statement. But to be realistic that must represent .00005 of 1% of cars leaving a showroom...How many actually sold their car that they fell in love with in the showroom and placed a payment on it, who waited for a period of time to get it, who didn't know at time of purchase that people wanted to shell out a whole 10% more, months later ?...The stars need to align perfectly for that one...The point I was making to counteract someone's point, was, don't use an example that represents 1 in 10,000 as being middle ground . 1 in 10,000 has no say .

As for the word "Many" do you know of "Many" who did ?...Sounds like an inside job to me, if there were "Many" !

NASA is going to find bupkis on this, at taxpayer expense.

If the courts have any sense at all they're going to throw this
garbage out as completely frivolous. We have far too many
litigation-mongering idiots running around trying to make a
fast buck, but it's going to backfire on them.

NASA will determine that it's an o-ring problem. As long as you don't drive your Prius on cold days it should be okay.
