I've thought of Power Venting my cat litter boxes too. Sometimes it's just NASTY

 

Why are these lions so laid back but my cats act like....lions at mealtime?

Isn't Data a robot??? Why does a robot need a pet? Or is this a counterfeit, not from the actual show?

He is a self-aware cybernetic life-form (with an off-swtch)... they have needs too...

 

Sounds like meaningless sci-fi-babble to me. About as believable as transporter beams or aliens who look almost like humans and speak English, even though they live at the other end of the galaxy and have never had contact with Earth or the "life forms" from here.

That makes more sense. A robot programmed to try to emulate human behavior. Including telling the cat "pretty puss" at every opportunity.

Scene from dystopian future: 7/8 of the "people" walking around are actually robots who due to a horrible programming error stop whatever they are doing and say "pretty puss" every time they see a cat, resulting in massive industrial accidents, train and plane crashes, nuclear power plant melt-downs, and other mayhem.

 

Klingons are allergic to earth cats. I mean, *everybody* knows that!

Because I'd rather have a cybernetic organism strong enough to bench-press a Starship have an earth cat for a pet, instead of a human for a pet

I'm sure they're just around the corner. Imagine how handy it would be to just zap from your house to the bar, get loaded, stagger into the transport, and zap back to your house?

No more drunk driving. Indeed no more driving, period

Or, I could just step into the Transporter, zap over to my Sweeties home whenever I or she happens to be In The Mood, and once done just zap back to my place

Ah, sounds perfectly Utopian to me! All we'd need to make it PERFECT is robot sheep

I'd happily deal with Transporter Psychosis, it might actually make me appear *normal* to other people

That's how smart they are. Not only did they seed our planet tens of thousands of years ago, they have chips in their superior brains that can instantly download whatever language required

The same chip also can download every porn tape ever made. The possibilities are endless!

I want that chip implanted in my brain. Pronto!

I already do that to my two cats. I've learned NOT to say that around my Sweetie, however. She tends to take it the wrong way for some odd reason!

Which is fine, as long as they provide me with proper Veterinary care, feed me all the steak and lasagna and salmon I care to eat, put beer into my water dish, and let me breed in a frenzied manner from morning until night

You know, I don't have a problem with that
