I have a Package II that I'm going to be installing an Pioneer AVIC Z110BT in.
    Here is my shopping list:
    Pioneer AVIC Z110BT
Metra Electronics 70-1761 Toyota 1987-Up - Into Car Harness
Metra Electronics 95-8226B Dash Kit for: Toyota Prius 2010 Double DIN
PAC SWI-PS Pioneer and Sony Factory Steering Wheel Audio Control Interface

    Does this list look complete?
I plan to use the Metra mounting brackets to avoid grinding the factory mount.
    Has anyone purchased these Items?
I found the Headunit at J&R: Electronics, Digital Cameras, Computers, Appliances, Software, Video Games, DVDs, CDs .
the only place I have found the remaining items in one place is at Onlinecarstereo.Com - Wholesale Car Audio/Stereo Deals At Bargain Prices which has some bad reviews. has anyone ordered there before?

Here is where i bought my x910bt upgrade.

    1. x90bt - from 6ave through amazon for $570 (lowest i've seen it $530) minus $100 rebate.
(z110bt i've see lowest for $900 on amazon from cartoys/6ave and $200 rebate) cartoys/6ave are authorized dealers.
    2. toyota harness - from ebay $5.00 shipped.
    3. scosche trim - from sonic electronics $18.65 with tax and free shipping.
    4. pac swi-ps - from ebay $42.90 + tax and free shipping

You can't reuse factory brackets. You have to use scosche brackets since the trim mount to it.

Has your dash kit shipped from them yet? I ordered through onlinecarstereo.com, and they confirmed my order, but it wasn't shipping. After a few days I emailed them, and they said they didn't actually have them in stock, and didn't know when they were getting them. They offered to cancel the order, which I did.

Same thing from installer.com... Finally just ordered the Scosche kit, and received it 3 days after ordering.

Edit: was impressed with onlinecarstereo.com for their shipping speed when they shipped the deck I bought. Just wish they showed "in stock" or "out of stock" on their website :)

can anyone confirm the correct wiring harness for non JBL?
the 70-1761 looks like it is for 4 speakers not 6.

From my understanding - and I may be wrong - the 4 speaker harness will work. The system isn't a true 6 speaker system, with the tweeters (or squakers) in the front are fed from the front speakers.

That doesn't surprise me. I'm quite dissapointed with toyota's audio systems. Even though it's not the JBL system, i would have expected more.

    Thanks for the info.
I'm going to go with the scosche trim. Even though it's flat black, it looks good.

Like others said, it's 4 speakers connection using the harness. Also the Scosche trim has decent color match and it's not terribly out of place. I'll be watching out for Metra trim to see if it is any better. Good luck with the install.

No problem. I've been using x910bt and pretty happy with it so far but the UI response is quite slow even though I only use it for nav(with msn), fm radio, bt phone and sometimes dvd for kids. I bought it knowing the limitation so I can't complain. :)
I'd backup and get Diaftia's mod and new 2009.6 maps right away after the install.

    Are those the iGO maps?
What kind of plug is on the other end of the factory AUX-IN cable that runs to the center console? I hope I can adapt it to be used with AV-1 on the X910BT just in case I want to use it.
Where did you run your USB cable that came with the X910BT.

Both the aux jack and the 12v power jack are wired to a custom plug inside the console (you will see it if you remove the console). That plug then leads to the radio harness. You will need to cut the wires in order to connect the aux in jack to an aftermarket HU.

I removed the entire aux in jack and pulled the USB cable and audio/video in jack for the aftermarket HU through the hole.

Go to the third post. The wire goes from the HU, through the "bridge", under the console, and through the hole left from removing the OEM aux in jack.

The console is pretty easy to remove. Use an L-shaped bracket from an expansion card from an old computer to pull out the plastic cover in front of the cup holder (the one inside of the console). Undo the five bolts (one in front of the above cup holder, and four under the pad on the bottom of the console box). Pull the entire console back and it snaps off. Unplug the above mentioned cable (containing the OEM aux in jack and 12v power). Remember to plug it back in once you are done, it still retains the 12v power jack even if you don't connect the aux in.

I'm not sure they are iGo maps but it from TeleAtlas. You can also get Navteq maps if it is better in your area. You may already know but check out the avic411 F series hack/mod section and they are stickied there.

    Question guys -- I have a 2010 Prius.

If I buy the Scosche dash kit -- TA2105B -- does that include the bracket? Is the Scosche bracket only plastic? I don't like the idea of mounting a heavy double-din car stereo to a plastic bracket, and mounting the plastic bracket to the car. I don't mind plastic trim pieces, but an all-plastic mounting solution doesn't seem good. What's your experience?

    Thanks!

The scosche kit includes the brackets, and they are plastic. You must use the plastic brackets because the trim (or surround) attaches to it. Mine has been installed for over a month now, no problems so far. The only thing I'm concerned is the grounding. Make sure your ground wire from the head unit is connected properly to the ground wire on the car's harness. You should be fine.

    Update:

One of my co-workers thought the Pioneer NAV came with the car. Another co-worker was scratching his head wondering how Toyota can include a Pioneer NAV from the factory. So the Scosche kit really made the NAV look stock.
