Hmm I do hold a depredation permit with CA Dept. of Fish & Game... Hmm I could be doing my community a favor by hunting "cougars". :D

I've attached a pic of my "prairie" with bird boxes included. lol Don't sweat the low cropped grass. The northern harriers, white-tailed kites, red-tailed hawks and Swainson's hawks love it! The voles hate it!

Well I'm glad he has worked through the rough part and has found a liveable solution and can continue being around to love you. :)

Thank you brother! I'll see about obtaining more of the other "nature" pictures for ya. ;)

When I married my current wife she was pretty much unaware of the wildlife around her (like most people raised in the city). Now she spots the red-tailed hawks and points them out to me before I even see them when we're driving in the country! And she sees the prairie dogs, deer and other critters that we share the land with and that most people simply do not even see as they drive along. She gets all excited to spot an eagle instead of the hawks - I'm so glad to have passed on an awareness of wildlife. And you get to do this with kids as WORK! I'm so envious!

Thank you Galaxee. You know, I have a surgery coming up in April sometime and some peanut butter cookies would probably help me recover faster...... ;)

Because she is a beautiful polite woman who likes to allude to bad things but leave it up to us heathens to go into detail for everyone else. :D

My prayers go out to you. My sister-in-law had stage 4 colon cancer and was given 8 weeks to live. As a registered nurse, she knew what was ahead. She connected with "www.thewolfeclinic.com, and they put her on a cancer fighting treatment for 6 weeks and when she went back to her doctor, they said the cancer had shrunk and they then recommended surgery. After the surgery, they told her they found no live cancer cells, but only scar tissue where the cancer had been.
This was 5 years ago and the cancer has not returned. You might want to check them out. They are in Canada and she did everything without having to travel there. She was 40 when she got the news.

I haven't visited FHOP for at least 6months. The first thread I went to was this one. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Best wishes for a quick recovery in April.

Thanks for the link and the great success story!

I'm working on the appointment now. I was told I need to have my "resection" check to ensure the sutures had sealed correctly and that my colon will not leak. So are they going to pump me full of air and stick me in a tub of water and watch for air bubbles like you do with a tire?

    You are awesome! :)

    *UPDATE*

I received great news form the oncology doctor yesterday and my CT scan from 2 weeks ago came up negative for cancer in my liver! We were concerned because the last CT scan showed small spots but he reassured me that 90%+ people have small spots that show up on a CT scan but we wanted to be sure so we did another scan now 5months later and there were no changes. Had the scan shown tumors or growth of any kind this would be horrible news because I am on a pretty agressive chemo regimine and if cancer can grow during this then my chances of survival would have been dismal indeed.

From here we will continue with regular test throughout the next few years and as long as it doesn't come back I should be in the clear. I still have treatments till the end of the month and then my ileostomy reversal but this is damn good news and I wanted to share it with my friends, especially those who have been there for me both financially and mentally! I love you guys/girls. :)

    HAHAHA!

DH replies, well they just want to be sure you're not leaking, so you don't become more full of shit as time goes by.

so glad to hear the good news, and that you're almost done with this!

Damn him! That sounds like something he'd say. :p Did anyone get any video footage of him squirting headlight washer fluid all over the pristine new 2010 Prius when we were in Detroit? The embarrassed look on his face was priceless!

    Thanks everyone!

The next update will involved where or not my bum leaked!
