Any great ideas for storing pocket change?

I used felt to line it and tape to cover up the front and back so the money does not slide out.

 

I just have mine in a zip lock baggy in the center console cup holder. If I need to move it all out it will be easy to do so. No rattling or anything this way.

 

I have two 35mm film containers that I store in the armrest cupholder

 

The box that you get your checks in when you order them.... use one of the covers and keep that in the center console. Fits perfectly in both my Prius and Land Cruiser.

 

I bought a plastic coin changer from Amazon for $8. Designed to teach kids counting, it holds all 4 coin types and is a cool red and blue. I leave it in the open space underneath.

 

My change can be found in my purse, the under console, the cup holders ( both of them), the compartment, under the mats, in the door cup holder, in the space above the door holder, and in the glove boxes.

"you find it you keep it" is what motivates my kids to help me clean the car.

 

See, I told you guys she wasn't just pretty, but pretty smart too...

Overhead storage compartment - can't fit sunglasses in there but it will take a few handy coins.

Lol! This is a big issue. My 93 Accord has a small felt lined drawer underneath the drivers side air vent. It's absolutely perfect for change. I know when the inevitable time comes for the end of my Honda Accord I'm going to miss that drawer. No vehicle made today seems to have one.

I'm looking at this thread with great interest. I will have to decide what to do. This is just another thread that automakers could learn from. Coin placement IS an issue many drivers want.

 

I keep mine in my pocket. I drive a Gen II, so I don't know if this option will work with a Gen III.

I have a little felt bag I keep in the side door cupholder. I was totally annoyed when I got this car and realized there was no ash tray or any other small, closable compartment. Combine that with the crappy cupholders and silly console tray design and I was shocked at how poorly thought out the cockpit was. I'm used to it now, though...though I still wish there was a decent cupholder in a good location!

 

I hate it. My 94 camry had a great little change holder under the steering wheel. I just drop it into the center console...
