Seems like I have nothing but lousy luck on the highway. Last year, I hit a couple of pheasants in South Dakota, and cracked my grill on the right side around the fog light. I was able to repair that with superglue. Well....today on the way back from Las Vegas, a semi in front of me shed a piece of tire, which hit my grill near the left fog light, and shattered it (the left grill piece). So...other than paying thru the nose from a Toyota dealer, does anyone have any suggestions for obtaining the left grill section? It's just a flimsy piece of plastic (about 6X8in.) But, I hate to ask Toyota how much it will cost. Installation is a simple "snap in" job. I should mention that I am on an extremely austere budget.
Parts.com has genuine Toyota parts at good prices. Sometimes 1/3 of the local dealer price. This particular part is $13.90 on parts.com.
No, it snaps right in. I had road debris take out the center part of the grille and I was able to get a replacement for a reasonable price from Parts.com. All three parts snap in and the center piece has clips that grab the bumper material. It didn't come with any instructions, but it wasn't hard to figure out.
Just curious, is it part no 53113-47030 here: Buy genuine radiator grille for Toyota Prius 2 generation, restyling 11.2005 - 05.2009 from Japan - Amayama
