Blizzard Pearl - the pic says it all. Plenty of photos linked in my signature. An album with my Blizzard and my dad's Silver: Picasa Web Albums - HTMLSpinnr (Rick) - Two 2010 Priu...
BP - no other choice at the time. Well there was a Gray but that already had too many miles for me. Tough to see the white all dirty in the winter but it does shine in the summer! See what everyone else has bought here.
Even w/ mild road dirt, the BP still looks clean! The solar roof, on the other hand shows dirt a tad more easily. Probably nothing like the northeast, but after driving through snow and crud in Northern Arizona, the car still looked rather clean from a distance. Up close, you could see dirt all over though...
Same for me here. I had to buy my Prius at the height of CforC (previous car was totalled in a wreck), and the only one the dealer had coming in for weeks was a Winter Grey Metallic. They were the only dealers not charging $2K over sticker, so I dropped the down $ for it... However, if I had a choice, it would have be the Blue Ribbon Metallic.
Blue Ribbon Metallic, mainly because my last 2 Prii (Gen1 & Gen2) where Mileniumm Silver, and I was a little tired of the color. Also, the dealer I buy from, had a Blue Ribbon in stock, Package 5, with the ATP, just what I was looking for.. wasn't much to decide Mitch
The Blue, baby! Gorgeous color, although I know salt and dirt show on a darker paint. Love the red too, but I've had two red cars!
Went for the Tyrol Silver (get it today!!). Have had 2 black cars in a row and they show the dirt (especially with the mileage I do - 155 miles a day). Novus Grey and Orion Blue would have had the same problem, and any white carries a penalty on my company car scheme because of traditional poor resale value. Red is always out for me (bad experience on my first car with fading differences across different panels. Also, I've found that silver looks cleaner for far longer.
Only had a choice of 3 colours unless I wanted to wait months and lose out on the scrappage deal and VAT reduction. So I went black to save a few GBP (the other two colours were metallics and more expensive). Looks nice when wet (plenty of rain here) and it matches the lower rear window
Winter Gray Metallic because the dealer only had 2 Level II's in stock and both were WGM. I had made a list in my mind of what colors I would wanted in this order... 1-Blue 2-Black 3-Gray 4-Red 5-White 6-Silver
I chose Winter Grey. It was my first choice and I looked all around the state until I found the color that I wanted first and then the features that I wanted. My second choice was Silver Grey but my wife's car is Silver Grey so I wanted something a little different.
Barcelona Red because it's the fastest color. It's also the best looking. Our Lexus RX400h is Matador Red for the same reasons. Red cars are also more visible to other drivers.
Silver, yes I know there are a lot of silver cars, because I like it. It's also practical for me, cool to the touch in summer, and doesn't show the highway dirt to bad in winter. My favorite Prius color was Salsa Red offered in 04 and 05.
My decision was totally based on my locale. I picked red, since it is not like white or silver that blends with the background (snow) in the winter. And I didn't pick black, blue, green, gray, or brown as these might blend with the background (grass, mud, trees, etc) in the summer. My idea is, if I have an accident and my Prius ran outside the roads, rescue team might not be able to find me easily if my Prius blends into the background. Sorry for not using the official color names, but you get my idea.
Blizzard Pearl, after all Prius commerical is all about going green. So I figure white is the best and besides if you get solar package it also stands out (Cause Pak V can't get it)
Blue Ribbon. Beautiful shade of blue (esp. when it's glistening in the sunshine) Wanted a blue car. Didn't want silver. BP was a close second.
I didn't really know what color I wanted when I arrived at the dealership but I was sure I didn't want another boring white car. Then I saw the pearl and I was sold. It's a beautifull color in the sun and it really stands out IMO.
