    just got the call that the springs are in. will get them installed by next wk. cant wait :rockon:

    springs were $219+tax. bought it from a local dealer for tanabe. they go on tomorrow:rockon:

    stock shocks, i'll see if its bad. if it is i'll upgrade but im sure it'll be fine

    got the car back last nite. ended up having them fix my rim that recently got bent when i hit a pot hole, soooooooooo, no pics yet till the rim comes back because im rolling on my spare. i ordered some spacers for the rear to push out the wheels a bit and give it a more flush fitment. as far as the ride goes, i really couldnt tell the car was lowered!!! it felt like a stock ride all the way home. but let me get it on the highway before i really give the springs a review. so hang on tight for a day or two till my rim gets repaired and i get my spacers put on.

    I'm interested in more info about your spacers too. I have a V with the 17" wheels and I'm definitely going to get it lowered once information is readily available for doing so.

    I was initially thinking I'd want to get coilovers so that I could get a nice drop without losing much ride comfort.

    what info did you want to know about the spacers? i was thinking about coils too, but to be honest i just wanted a better stance and didnt wanna spend like $1500 for coils. i went with the df210's because it gives the most drop compared to other springs and now that i have them on im 100% happy because it rides near stock.

    i believe tanabe said 1.4" in front and 1.6" in the back

    There aren't many coilovers out there that give both a nice drop and nice ride comfort. And very few (if any?) coilovers available for the Prius. Make sure you do your homework first...

    If going with springs, in general you can't get away with much more than 1-1.5" of lowering without giving up ride comfort, especially over large bumps.

    @kiokenprius - Just take some pics of the side of the car two good wheels! :)

    i would but the spare tire makes the good side uneven d/t its tire size. i know everyones anxious to see what it looks like, but give me a day or two. it'll be worth it!!!

    How big of a spacer did you go? The only spacers I'm seeing that will fit onto the Prius hub are the 25mm ones that include extended wheel studs already on them. Any smaller spacer, you need to install extended studs directly to the hub as the smaller spacers don't have studs built into them.

    Were you able to find smaller spacers with studs builts into them? If not and you're using 25mm spacers, are those going to push the wheels out past the fender?

    Are you pressing the extended studs into the wheel hub yourself? Or are you having a shop do it for you? Just curious, as I've been looking into this for the Prius lately (too bad all Japanese cars have studs on the hub, unlike Euro cars that use longer bolts w/spacers).
