The owner manual is silent about the fuse type used in the Prius (the low amps one, like the one used for the 12V outlets).

I bought standard ATC 15A fuses and, as I needed to replace one (120V inverter plugged in 12V outlet that tend to blow fuses easily...), found out that the Prius fuses have shorter "legs" than the ones I bought. I can use regular ATC fuses, but they protrude and prevent the fuse box cap to be put back in place.

What is the exact type of the fuses? I haven't been able to find where to buy some.

Some call them "micro" ATM fuses - they are not available at most spots...

    I googled ...
    try tessco.com for mini fuses.

edit: right, probably should be low profile mini fuse, and
    amazon has several assortments.
Also, I will need to pull some and look more carefully ...
and make a list of all the fuse ratings used.

From their website, if this is mini-ATC, which is not the correct format. The metal pins should barely exceed the plastic part.

They seem to be micro-ATC fuses. Having the correct name (thanks rrolff), I found them on eBay. This new format is certainly not common yet, as a search gives only 1 provider, specifying they are for Toyota vehicles.

So, the correct type is micro-ATC.

They are called "low-profile mini" fuses. You can get them from Littelfuse. I got a variety pack from Amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FXN6JS/ref=oss_T15_product

(Read the comments because the image/description is not correct. You get 55 low-profile mini fuses for $14.)

I've also seen them at AutoZone.
