Let me rephrase. They do use the metric system but not for speed or distance related measurements.

Well it has to be it for me now. But you are right I don't love it. Don't think one can be passionate about a Prius? Like one can be passionate about with a Mustang or etc.

But saves money and the planet so guess this will have to do for the time being.

Yeah and Motoway in the US is 55 and everyone drives around 65. Besides UK police is a joke. No one really cars much about them. When you pay for M6 toll road everyone flies. My Max was 135mph. But thats the past now since I am mostly on 65 and not even hitting the speed limit!!!! The MPG actually varies quite big if you drive 65 or 70-75.

MPH. I guess the engine is too loud. Every morning I start the car I felt the RPM is too high because the engine is so loud. Coming from a Acural RL I guess anything is loud. But this one is as loud as a diesel car.
When you accelerate pass over the red PRW you feel the engine is reaching max.

Sure maybe you can get to 87 mph under 4000 but it is the getting there part that revs the engine and I don't know how much I am reving. Especially after it is full RED in the PWR section and I still step on the gas further.

I can't wait for the Honda CR-Z. I am too yung for this car.

It's only 1300 rpm during the initial Stage-1a.

Why would anyone be afraid of cops who don't carry guns? :) "Please pull over... or I will ask you again in a more assertive tone!" hahahahaha! :)

I saw a US city cop at a car wash and he had to disarm his car before sending it through the wash. He was walking around with a cannon! I'll listen to him!

    Because you are smart.
If you don't pull over you get bigger fines.
    You can't out-run a radio.

Police in the western world outside the USA rely on respect rather than fear to elicit favorable responses from the public. Wouldn't that be a nice world to live in?

Did your mother have to point a gun at you to get you to clean your room?

Yes, it would. Let us know if and when you find a system that actually works.

One can be very passionate about any car. Doesn't matter if it's a Prius, Mustang, Dodge Caravan or Ferrari.

Probably a "simple" software upgrade would add RPM, temperature,
etc. to one of the existing display screens, and
    fix the "skid-no-braking" problem too?

Hmmm. Lets come down to earth for a moment.

Lets say if there are BMW M5, Mustang, Porsche, and Viper are all Hybrids and does the same MPG as the PRIUS for the same money which one whould you choose? Prius still?

Come on. I know in a million years I would never choose a Prius. Don't tell me Prius is fun or exciting to drive. No offense I feel sad in it. I am not sure what car you had before Prius but I sure miss my Acura RL.

And yes if I had more money I probably will go for any of the hybrid Lexus. I love the GS and LS range. Thats why I can't wait for the Honda CRZ the first sport hybrid next year.

By choice, I drive very small, gutless boxes. This allows me to drive all out, and no one outside the car ever notices.

I owned 2 Mazdas with a 1272 cc four, I would get down to 35 MPH if I hit a hill, even on a freeway.

I owned a 102 HP AWD Toyota that could not spin the tires on sheet ice, you never went anywhere in that car less than full throttle.

The Prius has more HP than any of those, more than the Falcon six cylinder, more than the Ford Escort or the Pinto. But still, as I race around Mississippi, no one knows.
If I was driving a BMW M5, Mustang, Porsche, or Viper as hard, I would be talking to Officer Friendly. (A Prius is cheaper in fines, and insurance, even ignoring gas mileage)

I don't know what to say about that. I guess from your point of view a Prius is like a Bently to what you've been driving then.

Come down to earth = a Viper and Prius at same price and same mpg? You probably picked the most unrealistic hypothetical situation to try to make your point.

Just sounds like you're unhappy about your purchase. I've seen M5 owners less passionate about their car than spoon collectors about their spoons.
Passion is an individual's attribute, not a product's attribute.
