A feel good video introduction for the 2010 Prius PHV Plug-In Hybrid. If this doesn't make you want to go out and rent "An Inconvenient Truth" I don't know what will.
THANK YOU Danny for sharing this video. It's exciting and I am looking forward to the day when it has been tested and will become available to the General Public. Like anything, I don't think I would buy the first year introduction but you never know. I am so thrilled with the new 2010, hoping it can only get better! I am confident that Toyota will beat or meet the GM Volt. I would suspect that is the main goal now.
So is it confirmed that this will be available to the general public? Will it be an "option" when buying a 2010 model, or will this be a separate vehicle completely?
Nothing has been said about this car being available to the general public. Its a demonstration and test/feedback program. If the results are good, maybe they'll be for sale to the public. I hope so, if the price is reasonable. It's a seperate vehicle, completely.
Please visit www.PriusPHV.com and review the site again. There will be a demo program in which 150 plug in vehicles will be tested within the US. Many will go to fleet buyers and some may goto individuals for testing. But that is it, nothing is mentioned about the car being available for purchase anytime soon. If your lucky maybe it will be by the time the 2012's are available but not now...
I hope they show this during the Super Bowl. (from 0 to 1:27 can be a regular Prius commercial) . . . . . .
According to Prius Team, their target year for retail sales is 2012 - as can be seen in this post from yesterday: http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-h...ehicle-13-mile-range-1-5-hour-recharge-4.html
Personally, I like this one better. PART NUMBER IS 75374-47070 PRICE IS $39.80 FINAL PRICE INCLUDING SHIPPING WAS $50.64, but I am in California and had to pay tax also. Please add where you ordered it from, so that others might benefit from cost differences.
