hey, my dog had this toy at one point, too! http://homepage.mac.com/dogfriend/....-04 23.39.21 -0700/Image-B18655F70BF011DB.jpg He didn't ruin the arms however... no, he managed to rip the head off and devour the body. After about a week, it was nothing but a rope toy anymore! He also has a thing for going after ears... or even better yet, the care tags that are sometimes on plush toys. We finally found his all-time favorite toy: Petstages Soft Toss Ring for Dogs at PETCO I have to replace it every month or two, the tags keep disappearing!
I think the monkey toy got shredded to the point where I ended up throwing it out. Digby's M.O. is to rip open a seam on any stuffed toy and pull all of the stuffing out. He will still play with it after the stuffing is out, but eventually he rips apart the rest of the toy too. A couple of years ago I bought a stuffed Santa toy and Digby was pulling the stuffing out within 15 minutes.
My dog shreds 2x4s - I don't even bother with stuffies - and digs holes faster than I can. The one toy that will keep her occupied for hours is a bone. The marrow lasts only a few minutes, but gnawing on the hard part takes a bit longer.
That's my other dog. When she gets excited/happy she starts digging. She dug through her 1st dog bed.
My little guy has a "kitty". Basically the last stuffy he managed to steal off the 8 year old s bed that the 8 year old did not demand back. He's a little guy so we only go through about 1 every six or so months. Good thing... he usually steals the build-a-bears!

So like you've given up on Petco for Home Depot? Seriously, the faerie princess thing is hot, but what happened to the dog? PIXORBAN.
Actually, I do buy them directly from the local manufacturer at a discount. I saved what she chewed on during her first year. She no longer chews on my slippers. Now if she's not doing this: She's doing this:
try the "souper" size of these nylabones. Lasts forever with a pit bull. Dog Toys: Nylabones at Drs. Foster & Smith Dog Supplies, Dog Beds, Toys & Treats - Dog.com may have better prices. Also, are you giving raw or cooked bones? Cooked is not good for them because they splinter more and can cause trouble internally.
