Tom...never been to France....gotta' enough problems getting out of Baton Rouge!! Not really....but haven't traveled abroad except to Canada....
This thread is still active? I haven't been here in what?, like a year and this thread is the only one of my subscribed threads that's still active? Sigh... so boring.
The study continues. It is good that you are not holding your breath. It takes time to try all those different brands. Continue breathing, everyone!
It is going to be 43 degrees celsius here in Adelaide tomorrow. Thats boring because you cant do anything in that heat.
Bev......we had just the opposite here.....43 degrees, but in F, this morning in Baton Rouge. The beginning of our "winter" (that's a word we use loosely in south Louisiana..) and when that happens, it signals the mad rush to the grocery store to make gumbo for the first time this season. It is usually too hot to really enjoy it. I cooked my chicken yesterday and will finish the chicken, sausage, andouille and ham gumbo today for dinner tonight. Yeah, I succumbed to the tradition. I have lived here over half my life; I guess you absorb it by osmosis or something.....
Curiously, it is also 43 degrees Fahrenheit in Madison. Calm winds and light drizzle, so actually quite pleasant. Maybe we are in some weird '43 degrees everywhere' twilight zone. If so, I'm glad I live in a country that uses Fahrenheit. Someone I know once lived in Australia for a year, and sent me an email telling me it was 43 degrees. I wrote back asking if that was a typo!
It's a sure sign if you're discussing the weather, you haven't got much to say. Like this post, for example.
From today's New York Times online: [IMGLINK]http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2009/11/18/nyregion/19elmhurst_337-395/hpMedium.jpg[/IMGLINK] Burned-out lights in a large sign at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens left an unintended message.
Boo, thanks!! ...........yeah, we're bored....but 'ya know....you got to have some place to just "veg" mentally.....
So, we took a little trip to the casino today, after DH's physical therapy, and did okay - I lost my $$ in the slots, but he made $$$ at the tables! Way to go, DH! It's nice when the odds come out in one's favor.
